Are you an experienced accounting professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for the manufacturing industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager/Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a critical role that will manage all aspects of our accounting operations and will play a key role in ensuring our financial health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, and be an expert in Excel. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus. This position requires on-site presence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash
• Review and analyze financial data, prepare financial statements and reports for both internal and external purposes consistent with a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s financial and business operations
• Manage the cost accounting system, inventory control, and material pricing
• Coordinate the budget process and work with managers to produce and monitor the annual budget
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports
• Advise management on actions regarding the purchase, lease, or disposal of equipment and property

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA designation is a plus
• 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise.
