BARISTA II

Summary:
Prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages while delivering excellent customer service. Maintains cleanliness, follows food safety standards, and may assist with inventory, cash handling, and training junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages.
• Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment.
• Ensure the café and workstations remain clean and organized.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Assist in training and mentoring new baristas.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
• Support opening and closing duties.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (often preferred).
• Previous barista or food-service experience, typically 1–2 years.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso equipment.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift supplies as needed.
