Maintain Meridian's position as the pre-eminent lightweight solution provider to global OEMs and major Tier One Groups.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and refine Company vision and strategy.
- Build relationships with global OEM key customer decision-makers and Tier 1 customers.
- Support corporate decision-making to maximize profitability and shareholder returns.
- Implement strategic and operational plans with executive heads.
- Develop and review business development strategy.
- Lead market studies, competitive benchmarking, and growth strategies.
- Influence company profitability through management decisions and new business development.
- Translate customer product engineering demands into tangible business strategies.
- Study new machinery and facilities in conjunction with customer requirements.
- Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures.
- Analyze production costs.
- Develop evaluation systems in conjunction with customer requirements.
- Conduct reliability and performance studies of plant facilities and production systems.
- Evaluate production facilities in conjunction with customer requirements.
- Assess and recommend new product platforms with cost impacts and ROI.
- Monitor industry trends for useful product portfolio opportunities.
Education and Skill Requirements
- Minimum 8 years in a senior position within the automotive industry in engineering and business development.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related disciplines; Masters/ MBA an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of automotive OEM customer business model.
- Proven record of assessing, planning, and implementing business development processes.
- Demonstrated experience with employee training and development.
- Customer orientation with ability to build accountability and drive innovation.
- Ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills to work independently and prioritize workload.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated accountability, commitment, time management, influence, and intellect to lead change and gain support of long-term vision.
