Job Description:
Director of Choral Ensembles
We seek a seasoned conductor and educator to lead our choral ensembles and teach music education courses.
- Direct and maintain outstanding choral ensembles, fostering musical excellence and ensemble cohesion.
- Teach two sections of ear training, developing students' musical literacy and appreciation.
- Provide academic advising to students in the choral music education program, guiding their academic and professional journeys.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven success and leadership through organizational, motivational, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to relate well to diverse groups of students and faculty.
- A commitment to outreach and student recruitment, as well as versatility to meet departmental needs based on applicant strengths.
- Collegiate choral conducting experience and demonstrated success as an experienced educator in the public school environment are preferred.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study; Doctorate preferred.
