Job Title: Warehouse Group Leader (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Onsite – Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Summary of Position
The Warehouse Group Leader is accountable for the proper handling, processing, and oversight of inventory in the warehouse during their assigned shift. This role includes supervising warehouse staff, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring compliance with company and legal standards. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with legal, food safety, food quality, GMPs, and company safety procedures.
- Oversee loading and unloading of freight and products; assist when necessary.
- Handle consignments, ensuring proper labeling and tagging of all goods and materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of supplies, raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Supervise warehouse staff during assigned shifts and organize/conduct necessary training activities.
- Report malfunctioning tools, equipment, or damaged products to the Warehouse Manager.
- Supervise deliveries of supplies to production lines according to SOPs.
- Validate received materials and goods against invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Complete all paperwork related to receipt and shipment of goods.
- Ensure proper handling, stocking, and inspection of all inventories.
- Monitor warehouse records and inventory; file reports of discrepancies or damages.
- Coordinate transportation and shipping schedules with the Warehouse Manager, including outbound shipments.
- Conduct forklift and trailer inspections per company requirements.
- Maintain a “No Damaged Product” standard and report product damage immediately.
- Verify incoming and outgoing products follow FIFO and GMP standards.
- Keep the warehouse and equipment clean and organized.
- Operate SAP and other warehouse applications; receive finished goods using hand-held scanners or mobile computers.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with reviewing open sales orders and maintaining inventory levels.
- Support picking and delivering samples or test products as needed.
- Assume the Warehouse Manager’s duties in their absence.
Skills & Experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Valid forklift license or certification.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Effective time management and goal-oriented.
- Analytical and operational skills; adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Experience with hand-held scanners is a plus.
- Physically capable of lifting/moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
