\n- Define, evolve, and maintain a scalable design system, including components, patterns, tokens, typography, color, and iconography.
- Design and refine reusable UI components and interaction patterns to ensure consistency across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless translation of design systems into production-ready code.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, guidelines, and tooling to support adoption across product teams.
- Improve contribution models that allow teams to propose, scale, and maintain design system components effectively.
- Champion accessibility standards (WCAG AA), usability, and visual consistency across all system elements.
- Support product teams through reviews, feedback loops, and collaborative problem-solving to ensure proper system usage.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and drive initiatives with a strong bias toward execution and impact.
Requirements:
- 6 years of experience in product or systems design, with proven ownership of design system strategy and execution.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design system work, component design, and scalable UI solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (auto layout, components, variants, responsive design, and design tokens).
- Strong visual design skills with attention to detail, interaction design, and accessibility compliance (WCAG AA).
- Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.
- Strong understanding of front-end concepts and collaboration with engineering teams on implementation tradeoffs.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows and design-to-code automation tools is highly valued.
- Ability to balance system thinking with real product needs in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Strong collaboration skills with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability, resilience, and comfort working in ambiguous and evolving environments.
