You will design and develop highly flexible and data-driven architectures that support multiple game modules while remaining easy to configure through lightweight CMS-style tooling. Working in a globally distributed team, you will collaborate closely with game engineers and product stakeholders to deliver robust, high-performance services. This is a hands-on senior role where architecture, scalability, and innovation come together.
\n- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs following an API-first architecture approach.
- Develop scalable systems for player accounts, progression logic, rewards engines, and leaderboard functionalities.
- Architect flexible, data-driven solutions using configuration-based approaches (e.g., JSON-driven logic instead of hardcoding).
- Work on cloud-based infrastructure including compute, storage, databases, and distributed systems.
- Support and enhance lightweight CMS-style tools to enable dynamic system configuration.
- Collaborate closely with game engineers to integrate backend systems into gameplay experiences.
- Leverage AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate coding, debugging, and system optimization.
- Ensure systems are modular, scalable, and capable of supporting multiple game modules efficiently.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience building backend systems for consumer-facing or high-scale digital products.
- Strong expertise in API design, microservices, and distributed system architecture.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or equivalent.
- Experience designing data-driven systems using configuration-based approaches (e.g., JSON or similar).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable and maintainable systems.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong communication skills in professional contexts.
