In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of the TOPS Finance team, driving the monthly and quarterly closing activities, managing audits, and overseeing inventory management. \n- Manage all inventory transactions for US produced products including raw material purchases and plant inventory transactions.
- Oversee full product cost accounting including standard setting, variance analysis, and inventory reserve management.
- Support monthly and quarterly closing activities including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory reporting.
- Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure a robust internal control environment to minimize SOX and financial reporting exposures.
- Assist with local and global ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Minimum 5 years of Finance/Accounting experience or equivalent.
- Strong skills in technical accounting, communication, and teamwork.
- Cost Accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and internal controls is essential.
- Prior experience with SAP is a plus.
- Proficient in SAP and Excel.
