\n- Accountabilities:
- Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain Oracle databases, including 19c Multitenant architecture.
- Manage database security, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and access control, in compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux shell scripts to automate routine tasks and support reporting.
- Support application teams by resolving database issues and collaborating on new feature deployments or migrations.
- Conduct capacity planning for storage, memory, and CPU resources to accommodate growth and mission needs.
- Document database configurations, processes, and architecture to ensure continuity and lifecycle support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain compliance with STIGs, RMF, and NIST 800-171 standards.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 4 years of experience in database administration or engineering; 6 years preferred in DoD/Navy environments.
- Proficiency in Oracle 19c, SQL, PL/SQL, RMAN, Data Pump, and TDE.
- Experience with cloud-based Oracle environments, including Azure VMs and hybrid architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, capacity planning, and database security best practices.
- U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix scripting for automation is preferred.
