In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of the TOPS Finance team, driving the monthly and quarterly closing activities, managing audits, and overseeing inventory management. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering productive relationships, improving processes, and solving complex problems in a detail-oriented manner. \n- Manage all inventory transactions for US produced products including raw material purchases and plant inventory transactions.
- Oversee full product cost accounting including standard setting, variance analysis, and inventory reserve management.
- Support monthly and quarterly closing activities including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory reporting.
- Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure a robust internal control environment to minimize SOX and financial reporting exposures.
- Assist with local and global ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Minimum 5 years of Finance/Accounting experience or equivalent.
- Strong skills in technical accounting, communication, and teamwork.
- Cost Accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and internal controls is essential.
- Prior experience with SAP is a plus.
- Proficient in SAP and Excel.
