ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a fast-paced Housewares organization looking for a Senior Manager, Graphic Design – Packaging to own and improve packaging graphics across a diverse portfolio of Housewares brands.
In this highly visible role, you will lead the end-to-end packaging design lifecycle—from concept through production—while managing a creative team and collaborating closely with the product development team and overseas vendors. You’ll ensure packaging graphics are innovative, brand-right, and retail ready, all while leading designers and driving best-in-class execution.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead packaging creative design and production for multiple brands, from initial concept to final physical proofs. Uphold and evolve brand guidelines across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency and cohesion.
- Manage and develop a team of (2) in-house graphic designers, and multiple freelance designers both locally and overseas to foster a high-performance and collaborative creative culture.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging graphics are on-brand, retail ready, and communicating the proper sales message on shelf.
- Provide clear art direction, feedback, and prioritization to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables. Assess, prioritize, and reassign workload and resources as needed to keep projects on time, on budget, and on brand.
- Collaborate with global vendors and navigate fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Oversee file preparation, pre-press, and production-ready artwork for domestic and overseas manufacturing.
- Partner with vendors and sourcing teams to ensure quality, color accuracy, and material execution.
- Maintain organized file systems and design standards across projects.
- Report to the CRO, acting as a key leader within the creative organization.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
- BFA in Graphic Design or related field
- 5 years experience as a senior or lead graphic designer for packaging, ideally within a B2B wholesale environment including preparing files for print production, creating 3D package renders, and proficiency with layout hierarchy
- 3 years experience managing on-site designers in California.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Basic photography skills, including editing, retouching, and lifestyle image composition. Experience and familiarity creating images in AI and 3D/Rendering tools a plus.
- Comfortable working with global vendors and navigating the nuances of international production and timelines.
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to read between the lines, build trust, and translate feedback into clear direction.
- Strategic mindset with a passion for improving processes from ideation through delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.

Salary Range: $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
