Primary Functions & Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for accurate financial records.
- Record financial transactions in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Generate and analyze financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct cost analysis to optimize manufacturing expenditures and monitor production costs alongside operational teams.
- Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, collaborating with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure strict adherence to financial reporting standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls.
- Assist in Strahman Group accounting functions when needed, along with other duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience: 3 or more years of professional accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills for complex financial analysis and reporting.
- Systems: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing. Experience using Syteline and/or QuickBooks is a major plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and trends to provide meaningful insights.
- Execution: Highly organized, results-driven, and possesses a strong attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment with changing priorities and quickly adapt to new processes or industry developments.
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with other members of the finance team, various departments, and external stakeholders.
