Picker/Packer - Elwood
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Picker/Packer to work with a leading logistics company in Elwood, IL. In this position, you will be placed at a client facility to accurately pick items using handheld scanners, pack orders for outbound freight, and maintain steady workflow targets.
Shift Patterns
- Monday to Friday, 5:30 - 14:00
Pay Rates
- 19.00 USD hourly
Must-have requirements for Picker/Packer
- Experience working in a warehouse and distribution work environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older with legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout an 8-to-10 hour shift
- Basic math, reading, and digital scanner skills
- Reliable transportation to the Elwood facility
- Willingness to submit to a standard drug screen and background check
Role for Picker/Packer
- Locate, select, and pick customer orders from warehouse racks using handheld RF scanners
- Inspect merchandise, securely package items into boxes, apply shipping labels, and stack pallets
- Verify order accuracy against pick tickets and check for damaged goods prior to shipment
- Move goods using hand trucks, manual pallet jacks, or push carts
- Maintain a clean work zone and comply with all facility safety regulations
