Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Forklift Technician with electric forklift repair expereince to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with forklift maintenance and repairs, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with engines, brakes, transmissions, and lifting mechanisms.
- Conduct comprehensive equipment diagnostics using specialized tools and software. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about equipment status and repair needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Forklift Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy parts and equipment.
- Certifications (such as ASE or forklift-specific credentials) are preferred but not required.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational certification is a plus.
