Imaging Technician:
OBJECTIVE: The Imaging Technician is responsible for distributing all incoming documents for the imaging area. This includes sorting, opening and distributing incoming mail to prepare for scanning and indexing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepares documents for scanning, which includes but is not limited to:
• Prepare mail.
• Research and locate account numbers.
• Separate documents for departments.
• Analyzes and recognizes the types of documents received to determine action to be taken.
Verifies scanned documents are legible, accurate, and accurately transmitted.
• Ensure account number(s) match customer data
By the end of the review period, can independently scan documents (Policy, Claims or OCR) for either Workers Comp, Commercial Lines or Personal Lines at acceptable rate and accuracy.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Must maintain effective working relationships with internal and external associates. Must be motivated and energetic in a fastpaced production environment. Position requires prolonged sitting, standing and some bending. Requires hand-eye coordination along with ability to operate a scanner, keyboard, photocopier, and other office equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
High School diploma or equivalent
One year of experience with processing documents in a records department or mail room or one year previous administrative support in a similar work environment desirable.
Ability to adapt quickly
Ability to follow instructions
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications and scanning equipment
Ability to lift and carry at least 20 pounds
Ability to organize work to meet timelines
Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
