Your paid training period may be scheduled on the first or second shift for about a month. Once you have completed training, and if working second shift, you will be eligible for differential pay!

- Base Hourly Pay Starting at $20- $23/hr, depending on your experience
- Night / Second Shift Differential $1.50/hr

Scope of Work:
Operates automated wastewater-treatment system to neutralize and remove sludge from Sulfuric Anodizing wastewater solution to prepare for discharge into waterways, meeting EPA/DEC standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitors influent and effluent to the system.
- Monitors control panels and maintains levels of waste and chemicals in tanks.
- Tests samples for pH and sludge settling, records readings, and takes corrective action.
- Move supplies and sludge. Operate hand trucks and drum carts.
- Cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment.
Keeps records:
- Logbook of daily activities
- Requisitions supplies of feed-tank and test chemicals.
- Records consumption of in-process chemicals.
- Maintains control of treatment system equipment.
- Safely works around chemical and equipment.
Other Responsibilities:
- Read and understand system manuals, prints, layout, and proper flows.
- Identify waste streams pertaining to Keymark and their proper disposal / treatment methods.
- Respond to and control any chemical hazards that may arise within the facility
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma
- Basic knowledge of permit limitations
- Knowledge and understanding of best operational practices for proper water treatment.
- Basic to medium understanding mathematics (ratios)
- Must be able to work a different schedule as certain situations arise.
- Must be able to work as a team or individually as needed.
- Excellent communication skills to work with other departments in the company and outside services
Problem Solving:
- Fix chemical leaks and chemical treatment adjustments.
- Respond to emergencies appropriately and according to protocol.
Working Conditions:
- 98% Indoors, 2% Outdoors.
- Work in extreme heat with or without temperature changes.
- Very physical labor.
