Food Service Worker I

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from High School or possession of a GED.
• Some experience in food service.
• Thorough knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements for handling food and operating equipment.
• Substantial knowledge of meal preparation systems.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.

 
RESPONSIBILITES:

• Performs a limited number of basic food service functions in a school kitchen and cafeteria.
• The principal function of an employee in this class is to serve school meals to school students and faculty and perform general food preparation and kitchen cleanup operations.
• Communicates and coordinates regularly with appropriate others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operation and activities.

 
SCHEDULE:                       

School Term Only, hours per week varies

SALARY RANGE:             

$15.00/per hour
