What are the responsibilities and job description for the 21st Century Enrichment Instructor position at Job Pools?
Salary Range: Part-time, $17 per hour
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school degree required
- Experience with after school programs, working with children in a team environment.
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with technology is desired.
Specific Core Function:
To provide enrichment instruction for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs, including delivering instruction or leading activities with students.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Provides instruction for enrichment classes with a focus on math, performing arts, fine arts, science, book clubs, social studies, etc.
- Assists the site coordinator in providing a safe and secure environment for after-school program participants.
- Assists in the coordination, distribution, and clean-up of daily snacks.
- Monitors student behavior and notifies site coordinator of any problems.
- Reports all incidents regarding students, staff and/or any unauthorized visitors to the site coordinator.
- Meets with the site coordinator for regular staff meetings as required.
- Attend trainings and orientations as required.
- Performs other duties as required by the site coordinator.
Supervisory Responsibilities – Required Special Qualifications:
- Supervises students during led groups and activities.
- Supervises student transitions between groups and activities.
Specified Length/Hours of Position:
- This is a part-time, non-affiliated, at-will hourly position contingent on federal funds. 10-15 hours a week following the school calendar with additional days during the Summer to be assigned.
