Job Options, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounting Support Specialist to join our team. As part of our financial team, you will play a vital role in assisting the Chief Financial Administrator with financial analysis, reporting, and accounting support for various projects within our organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed financial reports.
- Maintain records of liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end activities, including journal entries, payroll accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Manage daily cash transactions and reconcile bank statements.
- Support inventory control, route management, and invoicing for our laundry division.
- Collaborate with management, operations, and corporate teams to ensure accurate revenue and cost projections.
- Assist with the development of annual budgets and consolidated corporate budgets.
- Develop systems to track management performance and contribute to incentive pay programs.
- Prepare detailed income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections for both new and existing projects.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and analyze monthly financial variances.
- Provide backup support for Accounts Payable when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from a four-year college or university.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (including preparation and processing of monthly journal entries, Payroll Accrual, fixed asset liabilities, bank reconciliations and financial reports analysis).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and Word Processing software.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, and trigonometry to practical situations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and solve practical problems.
- Professionalism and dependability; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willing to work on site (Mission Valley, San Diego) when needed (Hybrid schedule will be granted after six months, depending on learning progress.)
