Summary
The purpose of this position is to support facility operations through shipping and receiving, biosecurity and site security, truck wash operations, and inventory support. This position is responsible for receiving parts, supplies, and other materials delivered to the facility, verifying shipments, and assisting with the distribution of received items to the appropriate departments.
This position serves as a point of contact for individuals entering the facility and supports site security and biosecurity requirements by signing in visitors, contractors, and service providers and assisting them in reaching the appropriate personnel or work area in accordance with facility procedures.
The position is also responsible for operating the truck wash and ensuring vehicles entering the Line of Separation (LOS) are properly washed and processed in accordance with established biosecurity procedures. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the organization, monitoring, and maintenance of inventory and supplies necessary to support the facility's biosecurity program.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive parts, supplies, packages, equipment, and other materials delivered to the facility.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, or other discrepancies and properly document receipt of materials.
- Sign for incoming shipments and notify the appropriate department or employee when materials have arrived.
- Assist with transporting and distributing received parts, supplies, and materials to the appropriate departments or designated storage locations.
- Maintain receiving and storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Maintain proper segregation of clean and dirty materials in accordance with facility biosecurity procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for visitors, contractors, vendors, service providers, and other individuals arriving at the facility.
- Ensure visitors, contractors, service providers, and other applicable personnel are properly signed in and follow established site security and biosecurity entry procedures.
- Contact the appropriate facility personnel when visitors, contractors, or service providers arrive and assist in directing them to the appropriate location.
- Monitor facility entry activities and immediately report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or biosecurity concerns to management.
- Operate the facility truck wash for vehicles requiring entry across the Line of Separation (LOS).
- Wash and disinfect vehicles in accordance with established facility biosecurity and truck wash procedures.
- Verify that required truck wash and vehicle biosecurity procedures have been completed before allowing applicable vehicles to proceed into designated areas.
- Maintain the truck wash area and associated equipment in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
- Notify management or maintenance personnel of truck wash equipment problems, damage, or needed repairs.
- Assist with maintaining inventory of biosecurity supplies, including monitoring stock levels and communicating when additional supplies are needed.
- Receive, organize, store, and distribute biosecurity supplies as needed.
- Help ensure required biosecurity supplies are available at designated locations throughout the facility.
- Complete and maintain required receiving, visitor, contractor, truck wash, biosecurity, inventory, and other applicable records.
- Follow all company safety, biosecurity, food safety, GMP, and site security policies and procedures.
- Assist other departments and perform additional facility support duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Daybreak Foods, Inc. will train.
- Ability to read, speak and write in English is required.
- Ability and willingness to learn computer skills.
- Powered pallet jack and/or forklift experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in food safety and egg quality is desirable.
- Monitor and comply with food safety and GMP policies.
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures.
- Must be able to read and follow written instruction, policies and procedures.
- Positive team oriented attitude.
- Able to train others.
Physical Demands
Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to climb up to 150ft by ladder.
Work Environment
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. Employee may work in outside environment where temperatures vary seasonally. Clothing must be worn based on seasonal weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Certain areas may be loud enough to require ear protection. All personal protective equipment will be provided and required during certain working conditions and in certain areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places.
