The International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for successfully coordinating the movement of the international ocean, airfreight, and cross-border shipments. Must be able to execute shipping transactions to/from Asia, Europe, and throughout North American borders. Coordinate consolidation and optimization of strategies, cost, and service performance. Coordinate international shipments to achieve financial and operational goals.
Position Responsibilities May include;
• Support the Corporate enterprise team on ocean carrier contract negotiation in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local - international laws/ regulations and the company policies
• Execute international shipping optimization strategy directed by Trade Compliance Manager
• Optimize service and cost performance
• Perform business and process analysis using the data and information provided by internal systems and outside sources
• Coordinate the successful routing of export ocean shipments and import Shipments via Air and Ocean
• Trace shipments on a daily basis
• Confirm data received is in compliance with all US Customs requirements
• Process all documents in accordance with requirements
• Coordinate cargo availability and arrange pick-up and delivery
• Monitor the performance of international carriers and provide feedback to Management
• Assist management in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) of international carriers and other international logistics intermediaries; including but not limited to compliance to allocations, on-time performance, and data accuracy. Communicate any transportation impacts to inter-company stakeholders.
• Adhere to established processes that enable information flow through all required communication channels with company stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Trade Compliance personnel to minimize delays in import and export shipments
• Provide transportation capacity forecasts to ocean, air, and land carriers
• Ensure timely payments are made to carriers via the Trax and OnBase payment systems
• Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Knowledge & Skills
• Advanced transportation skills in all modes of international logistics including full container load, less-than-container load, airfreight, local drayage, and hotshot delivery
• Strong working knowledge with Mapics, PKMS, MS Office Excel– Heavy data calculations
• Basic understanding of international ocean freight tariffs – shipment terminology
• Inventory management, Logistics & Transportation Operational knowledge
• Familiarity with Export compliance rules
• Excellent geography skills
• Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
• Knowledge of ocean/air freight shipment track/trace systems
• Knowledge of carrier invoice audit and verification, payment practices
• Knowledge of TMS tools (Transportation Management System)
• Knowledge of and experience with packaging materials used to safely transport all products required-
• Freight claims experience – carrier invoice, audit and verification, payment practices
• Cost-focused while balancing the needs of customers
• High level of attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and function in fast-paced environments with regularly shifting priorities
• Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual a plus, but not required- English-Spanish
• Must be flexible in work schedule
Experience
• 3 years in a Logistics/International Transportation related environment
• Experience with commercial border crossings and port operations
• Certifications preferred, not required - IATA, C-TPAT
Education/Certification
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Management, Supply Chain, or International Business preferred
