What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Education Instructor position at Job Corps?
Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
Provides the required classroom permit, pre-licensing (5 hour course), defensive driving instruction, permit and road test preparation.
Schedules written and road tests, and transports student to testing sites.
Motivates and counsels students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits
Records and forwards daily attendance to Student Records; maintains student personnel folders.
Models appropriate behaviors, mentors students and monitors both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; must possess active Driver Education Instructor Certification
Must possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
