Joanna Ball, Ph.D., Independent Psychology Practice, P.C. is a group psychology practice in Westchester County, NY currently seeking a part-time postdoctoral psychology fellow, a licensed social worker, or a licensed psychologist who has been trained in treating children, adolescents, and adults. The practice is located in Tarrytown, NY and shares a suite with a child-adolescent psychiatrist, and other mental health professionals of all backgrounds whom Dr. Ball employs. The suite members and all staff associated with Dr. Ball’s practice collaborate regularly and work very closely. Dr. Ball has a large referral base across Westchester County, will be able to offer a candidate a regular referral flow, and will provide weekly individual supervision as well as offer additional weekly participation in an interdisciplinary peer supervision group. Emergency supervision coverage will be offered as well. Clinical services the candidate would be expected to provide include individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy, couples therapy, parent consultation, group psychotherapy, and comprehensive clinical evaluations, as appropriate. Evidenced based treatments will be the primary approach used for psychotherapeutic intervention, within the context of a larger family-oriented approach, for a myriad of psychological and psychiatric conditions in children, adolescents, and adults. Applicants should be interested in working collaboratively across disciplines, readily engaging in outside consultation with schools and related agencies, and comprehensively working towards improvement of family mental health. Start date can be flexible. The candidate would be expected to be in the physical office space two days every week, and can work virtually outside of those days if so desired.
