What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Joan's Preschool?
We have openings for Preschool Teachers, Substitute Teachers and Breakers preferably with a background in Early Childhood Education. We are looking for motivated individuals who are responsible, creative, energetic, warm, organized, dependable, and team players. You must be patient, kind, and enjoy working with young children.
Daily tasks would include the following:
- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program.
- Daily classroom cleaning.
- Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Assist in implementing cleanliness and hygiene for the children.
- Interacting with students throughout the day.
Education Preferred (not required):
- A current CDA, Montessori Certificate, or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Available to work Monday through Friday
- Able to lift 40 lbs. each day
- Pass a background check
- Have reliable transportation
- Previous work with early childhood care preferred
- CPR/First Aid certified or be willing to obtain upon hire
- Complete annual Municipality of Anchorage required professional development training
