DRAPERY INSTALLER ( EXPERIENCED)

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Drapery/Shade Installer to join our team.

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented installer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience installing custom window treatments, including shades, drapery, and motorized systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering a first-class experience to every client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate on-site measurements for windows and installation areas.
• Install a wide range of window treatments including but not limited to drapery, roller/solar shades, Roman shades, wooden blinds, cornices, and more.
• Install and program motorized window treatments (experience with Lutron, Somfy, Rollease, etc.).
• Read and interpret work orders, shop drawings, and installation specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, office staff, and clients regarding job progress and issues.
• Demonstrate installed products to clients and ensure they understand operation and maintenance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and workspace, ensuring job sites are clean and secure upon completion.
• Submit Reports back to the office at the end of each workday, via email, with a clear summary of the installation performed, any challenges or issues encountered, and photos of all completed work.
• Adhere to safety standards and company procedures.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials and tools.
• Supervise or mentor junior installers as needed, ensuring quality and consistency in work performed.
• Navigate and comply with construction site protocols, including coordination with other trades and adherence to job site safety and scheduling requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience installing custom window treatments.
• Strong understanding of window treatment hardware, layout, mounting techniques, and job site conditions.
• Proficient in handling ladders, lifts, and power/hand tools.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 26 feet and lifting up to 55 lbs.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

• Valid Driver’s License (Required)
• SST Card (Preferred)
• OSHA 30 Certification (Preferred)
• Scaffolding Certification (Preferred)
• Aerial Lift/Scissor Lift Certification (Preferred)
