Afternoon Shift Meat Market Associate – Customer Service & Equipment Cleaning
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused individual to join our team for the afternoon shift. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the meat department and equipment are cleaned and sanitized at the end of the day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with meat selections and special requests.
- Package, label, and stock fresh meat products.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked display cases.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize meat processing equipment, workstations, cutting tables, slicers, grinders, saws, and utensils.
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and other department areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Assist with closing duties and prepare the department for the next business day.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working around meat processing equipment and following sanitation procedures.
- Previous grocery, meat department, or food service experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
Schedule:
- Afternoon/Evening Shift
- Weekends are required.
