Role Description The Business Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Glens Falls, NY. The Business Manager is responsible for performing the firm’s accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, banking, financial reporting, annual budgeting, cash flow projections, and coordination with an independent CPA who prepares our annual financial statements and tax returns. The role also includes some management of human resource responsibilities. This position requires a high level of organization, excellent accounting skills, confidentiality, clear communication, and the desire to work in a fun, creative environment.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related area of study. (CPA credential is not required.)
- A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite; advanced abilities with Excel).
- Project management and/or accounting software experience; familiarity with Deltek software preferred.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to correspond and interact with management, employees, subconsultants, clients, and other outside professionals.
