Our partner, a growing advanced manufacturing organization in the aerospace and industrial technology space, is seeking a Regulatory Compliance & Certification Engineer to join their team!
This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position
Salary based on experience: Up to $100k
This person will lead global product certification and compliance initiatives for highly engineered transducer products. This is a high-impact engineering role responsible for supporting international regulatory approvals, hazardous location certifications, and overall product compliance across multiple global markets. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in regulatory and compliance engineering, third-party certification processes, and cross-functional product support within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory compliance and certification activities for industrial and aerospace-related products, including new approvals, renewals, and certification expansions
- Manage relationships with third-party agencies and testing laboratories, including UL, CSA, FM, ATEX, IECEx, CE, SIL, DNV, and other global regulatory bodies
- Coordinate testing, audits, inspections, and certification submissions to ensure ongoing compliance with international standards
- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements related to hazardous locations, EMC, pressure equipment, functional safety, environmental compliance, and marine approvals
- Support engineering and product development teams to ensure compliance requirements are integrated early in the design process
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including control drawings, technical files, risk assessments, EMC reports, SIL documentation, and declarations of conformity
- Monitor changes in regulatory standards and assess the impact on current and future product lines
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams regarding certification requirements and compliance best practices
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to support audits, inspections, and continuous compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, certification engineering, quality engineering, or related technical roles
- Strong knowledge of UL, CSA, FM, IECEx, ATEX, OSHA, NFPA, ISO, CE, and related global compliance standards
- Experience working directly with certification agencies and third-party testing laboratories
- Familiarity with hazardous location approvals, EMC compliance, RoHS, REACH, and conflict minerals regulations
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ERP systems, and document control platforms
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Background supporting pressure transmitters, industrial instrumentation, aerospace products, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience with SIL/FMEDA documentation, pressure calculations, or marine certifications
- Exposure to quality systems, audit support, and manufacturing process compliance
