What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiberglass Production Worker position at JMS Composites?
We are a Custom Composite Part Manufacturer located on the east side of Springfield, Ohio, looking for Associates to join our Production Team
The ideal candidate will be performing a variety of manufacturing tasks. Very little machinery is involved with these positions. This is a Hands-On type of work. Please look at our website; www.jmscomposites for more information about our processes and types of parts that we produce.
This is a full time position M-F 8 A.M. -4:30 P.M.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Measure and verify dimensions to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Cutting and loading fiberglass mats and reinforcements into molds
- Trimming, sanding and buffing finished parts to meet quality standards.
- Measure and verify dimensions
- Follow safety procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment
- Maintain a neat and organized workspace resulting in a shop floor free from clutter or debris
- Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills related to job function, quality, safety, LEAN manufacturing, and other topics as necessary.
- Maintain molds and tools in good working order.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Famililarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read tape measure
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team
- Be comfortable with tool use and precision work
- Experience with fiberglass/composites is a plus
- Being able to read blueprints is a plus
