Landscape Architect - Project Manager (4 Years Experience)

While JMorton provides full‑service planning, this position is landscape‑architecture focused, with planning serving as a complementary component.
Position Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in landscape architecture
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Land FX
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (ability to quickly adjust graphics and visuals)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel (basic table handling and data accuracy required)
- Strong understanding of planting design, including plant selection, layout, and documentation
- Working knowledge of Florida‑native and Florida‑friendly plant materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including planting, irrigation, grading, and civil plans
- Experience producing 2D and 3D visualizations
- Experience preparing code‑minimum planting plans
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with municipal landscape codes and regulations (awareness and ability to read code requirements; full proficiency not required)
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Creative problem‑solving and design‑thinking abilities
- Experience coordinating with municipalities, reviewing agencies, consultants, contractors, and selecting project teams
Physical & Work Requirements
- Position is in‑office
- Candidate must be willing to attend site visits as needed, which may require walking on uneven or undeveloped surfaces
