Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mason - Hardscape Crew Leader to oversee and execute high-quality masonry and hardscape projects. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled masons, coordinate daily operations, interpret construction plans, and ensure that all work meets safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise in concrete, brick, stone, and other building materials will drive the successful completion of outdoor and structural masonry projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and work with a crew of masons on hardscape and masonry projects, ensuring efficient workflow and quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Oversee the installation of rebar, concrete forms, and reinforcement materials to ensure structural integrity.
- Perform or direct concrete finishing, tile laying, stucco application, and other masonry techniques with precision.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively on-site.
- Coordinate with project managers to review construction plans, specifications, and schedules for timely project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations throughout all phases of work.
- NJ Drivers License required
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on masonry, hardscape installation, and concrete work.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques including plastering and caulking.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and welding for construction tasks.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high safety standards on busy construction sites.
- Familiarity with building material installation such as metal stud framing, trim carpentry, roofing components, and restoration techniques.
