What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Technician position at JMK5 Drive LLC?
At Mainland City Centre, our Electrical Technicians support our facilities and team in keeping the property in great shape. They are responsible for keeping our facility operating and repairing any problems when discovered. An Electrical Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems. There may be moments in which our electrical technicians will need to support our general maintenance team.
General Responsibilities Include:
- Performing electrical routine maintenance inspections around the building
- Repairing damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Understanding blueprints and technical diagrams
- Testing to identify and report electrical problems
- Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
- Keeping documentation of work orders
General Requirements Include:
- 2 years electrical experience or a trade-related field
- Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems
- General knowledge of preferred basic maintenance task
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change and integrity
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions as required
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lb.
- Ability to stoop and bend
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down ladders and stairs
