Summary:
Performs functions throughout the production
line, such as, assembling, fastening and installing parts on or for the
aircraft.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Read and
interpret engineering drawings, illustrations, work instructions, and
specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, identities and
relationships of parts.
- Assemble,
install, and connect parts, fittings, and assemblies on aircraft, using both hand
and power tools to install fasteners and fittings.
- Inspect and test
installed units, parts, systems, and assemblies for fit, alignment,
performance, defects, and compliance with requirements, using measuring
instruments and test equipment.
- Perform
installation or assembly duties such as-aircraft electrical, aircraft plumbing,
advanced aircraft fabrication, rigging flight controls, and/or preparing and
installing class one fasteners.
- Assist with the
assembly of major structures, and installs subassemblies such as bulkheads,
fuselage panels, rudders, flaps and elevators.
- Performs advanced rework described PS4011 and PS5111.
- Performs advanced rework approved by a Material Deviation
Report.
- Performs retrofit work resulting from customer order changes.
- Expected to provide task training to Level 1, Level 2, and
Level 3 Assemblers.
- Expected to perform Quality Inspection tasks as a Delegated
Inspector.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Qualifications:
- Proficient in interpreting Kodiak Aircraft
engineering drawings
- High School diploma or GED required
- Proficient
with the use of hand and power tools.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and a
modern Web browser.
- Minimum
3 years’ experience and understanding of general aspects of general aviation
manufacturing.
- Master
the required minimum number and type of assembly work as defined in the current
Assembler Career Ladder policy.
