The Senior Agency Project Manager serves as the primary driver of planning, execution, and delivery for JMI's most strategic and high-profile client engagements. This role partners with executive leadership, account teams, creatives, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives.
The ideal candidate brings significant experience leading complex, multi-channel marketing, communications, brand, and community engagement initiatives for medium to large organizations. While this role does not include direct personnel management responsibilities, it requires the ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and provide strategic guidance throughout a project's lifecycle.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership
- Lead delivery of high-value, high-profile client engagements from initiation through completion.
- Serve as the day-to-day project lead for executive-level client stakeholders.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions, project kickoffs, and executive presentations.
- Develop trusted client relationships and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
Project Leadership
- Establish project scopes, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and success metrics.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with budgets ranging from mid-five figures to seven figures.
- Build detailed work plans and oversee project execution across departments.
- Monitor project performance, resource utilization, deadlines, and profitability.
- Anticipate project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including account services, creative, consulting, communications, events, media, and external vendors.
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Facilitate efficient workflow among stakeholders and project contributors.
Financial & Operational Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
- Track project profitability and support agency operational excellence.
- Ensure projects adhere to contractual commitments and scope requirements.
Business Development Support
- Contribute strategic insights to proposals, pitches, and new business opportunities.
- Assist in developing project approaches, budgets, and implementation plans for prospective clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Project Management, or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressively responsible project management experience in an agency, consulting, communications, marketing, or related professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, high-profile client engagements.
- Proven track record managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, budgets, and deadlines.
- Experience presenting to senior executives, board members, and public-sector or corporate leadership teams.
- Experience managing project budgets and resource allocation.
Salary Range; $100,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off and 401k plan.
