Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable Helper to support our installation team on residential AV and smart home projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes direction well, and wants to learn the trade in a professional environment.
You will assist with site preparation, equipment handling, wire pulling, device mounting, cleanup, and general job support. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in AV, low-voltage, or smart home technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians with AV and smart home installations.
- Pull, dress, label, and organize low-voltage wiring.
- Mount TVs, speakers, devices, racks, and equipment under supervision.
- Carry, move, and stage tools, materials, and equipment.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
- Help with basic assembly, prep, and cleanup tasks.
- Follow directions carefully and work efficiently as part of a team.
- Represent the company professionally in client homes.
- Learn company standards for quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to arrive on time and work consistently.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders, in attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in finished homes and around clients.
- Willingness to learn and take instruction.
- Basic hand tool familiarity is a plus.
- Prior construction, low-voltage, AV, electrical, or trade experience is helpful but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential construction, AV, security, networking, or electrical work.
- Familiarity with tools, cable management, and job site practices.
- Interest in smart home systems, home theater, networking, or technology.
