Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Manager to join our Long Island based property management team. In this leadership role, you will supervise the day-to-day operations of HUD subsidized senior citizen residential properties located in Suffolk County, ensuring efficient property performance, appearance, and adherence to HUD regulations. This position offers an exciting growth opportunity to contribute to the overall success of our HUD property operations.
Duties
- Develop property specific budgets and track and approve expenditures in accordance with budget
- Supervise and evaluate maintenance operations and staff
- Maintain work order system and ensure all apartment repairs are addressed and completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate timely turnover of vacant apartments with Housing Manager and Superintendent.
- Promote and enforce quality property appearance.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to monitor condition, identify maintenance needs, and ensure lease compliance and safety standards.
- Conduct annual, move-in, and move-out apartment inspections.
- Solicit contractors for major repairs and improvements.
- Interface with residents to enforce lease compliance and HUD regulations.
- Respond to emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in developing and utilizing property budgets
- Proven experience in HUD property management (2-5 years).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with HUD Handbooks such as HUD 4350.3.
- Spanish-speaking bilingual preferred
JMD Einsidler Management Corp. provides professional property management services primarily for HUD Federally Assisted Housing and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Housing. Our specialty is low income senior citizen housing and we operate over 1,100 of these units on Long Island.
Salary : $88,000 - $90,000
