Demolition laborer will safely perform tasks involving and related to physical labor onsite for demolition construction projects
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers and rakes.
- Clean, remove and prepare materials used on site to eliminate possible hazards
- Control traffic passing near, in and around work zones; signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials
- Observe and comply with all company and specific site safety procedures and project policies, and maintain the construction site in strict accordance with OSHA guidelines
- Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation
- Responsible for care and custody of tools being used, including daily cleaning and maintenance
- Upload tools and equipment from trucks and load trash into vehicles and dumpsters to be hauled away.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Requires a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years
- At least 3 years of previous experience.
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, and employer reference check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
- Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle.
