Our client is continuing to grow, along with its Maintenance Team, and is seeking experienced Avionics Technicians who are looking to take their aviation careers to the next level in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

This position is responsible for performing inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, removals, and installations of aircraft instruments and avionics systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, FAA regulations, industry standards, and approved maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all work in accordance with applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, company procedures, and customer maintenance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, test, remove, and install avionics systems, instruments, and wiring on various aircraft platforms using hand tools, testing equipment, and technical documentation.
  • Properly document all maintenance performed, including removal and installation of aircraft components, in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve discrepancies related to avionics systems and components.
  • Provide technical support and on-the-job training to less experienced technicians as needed.
  • Support flight crews with in-flight troubleshooting and perform preflight evaluations of avionics and instrument systems when required.
  • Maintain avionics testing equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organized.
  • Operate ground support equipment as necessary.
  • Participate in company and factory training programs to maintain and enhance technical proficiency.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess personal tools required for the role.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Part 145 maintenance environment; Part 135 experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience working on Gulfstream, Cessna, Embraer, and Bombardier aircraft preferred.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance reference materials, including Maintenance Manuals, IPCs, and Component Manuals.
  • Experience using maintenance tracking systems such as CMP and CAMP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Ability to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate required; A&P License considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights above four feet.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
  • Ability to read small print and distinguish colors accurately.
