Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly, listen to their needs, and provide clear, patient guidance on shipping options, packaging supplies, and store services.
- Safely and securely package customer items ranging from everyday parcels to fragile, awkward, or high-value goods using appropriate materials and techniques.
- Process outgoing shipments across major carriers, ensuring exact weight, dimensions, destination details, and documentation.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash registers accurately, handling payments, returns, and daily register balancing.
- Assist customers with printing, copying, scanning, faxing, and mailbox services.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized front counter, packing station, and retail floor, keeping shipping supplies and merchandise well-stocked.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Customer Service: Exceptional, provable track record of top-tier customer service skills. Professional references will be requested and checked.
- Computer Competency: Comfortable learning and navigating multi-carrier shipping software, POS terminals, printer interfaces, and standard web browsers.
- Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in a pack-and-ship retail center or logistics environment is strongly preferred.
- Cashier Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with register operations, cash handling, and retail transaction procedures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and comfortably lift, carry, and maneuver parcels up to 50 lbs.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, dependability, strong communication skills, and a positive, community-minded attitude.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
