Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team, responsible for safely transporting freight and goods across various routes. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure punctuality and efficiency
• Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety during transportation
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered on the road

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads as applicable
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with tractor-trailers or similar vehicles
• Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks and handle manual handling tasks safely
• Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures for various freight types including freight containers and specialty loads
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for commercial trucking
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
• Ability to work independently on long-distance routes while maintaining high levels of professionalism

Pay: $24.36 - $29.34 per hour
