Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our growing team. This is a key role within the firm, focused on owning client relationships, reviewing internal work, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of financial reporting.
The ideal candidate has a strong public accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate confidently with clients. You will work directly with the principal advisor and play a critical role in managing client engagements from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple small-business clients (cash & accrual basis)
- Review financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations prepared by Staff Accountants
- Support bookkeeping and cleanup work when necessary
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Preform trend analysis and tax projections
- Coordinate with tax preparers and auditors as needed
- Review business and personal tax returns (Forms 1120S, 1065, and 1040 required)
- Train and mentor staff accountants and assist in improving internal processes
- Communicate directly with clients to explain financial reports, answer questions, and provide insights
- Assist with onboarding new clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a client-service environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online, Excel/ Google Sheets, and modern accounting tools
- Strong experience reviewing: S-Corporation returns (1120S), Partnership returns (1065), and Individual returns (1040)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger processes
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Live within 20-30 minutes of Rancho Cucamonga, CA
- Not interested in offshore or staffing agencies
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time preferred (open to strong part-time candidates)
- Competitive pay $35-$40/hr
