GENERAL SUMMARY
The Systems & Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the organization's infrastructure systems including network equipment, servers, and enterprise services. This role focuses on implementing infrastructure solutions, maintaining system reliability, and supporting IT operations across all JM Murray locations.
COMPANY STANDARDS
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality in order to perform tasks related to daily and ongoing company IT needs. This position performs all hours onsite and at all assigned physical locations of operations and services and may be assigned to work remotely based on business needs.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations; wears and/or uses required protective equipment while working; immediately reports any safety concerns or unsafe working conditions to IT Management.
• Conducts all aspects of job responsibilities in compliance with the JM Murray mission statement, policies and procedures, professional standards, and applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Infrastructure Management
1. Administer and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
2. Manage server operating systems including Windows Server environments.
3. Maintain virtualization platforms and supporting infrastructure.
Systems Administration
4. Support enterprise systems including Active Directory, file servers, and messaging systems.
5. Implement system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
6. Monitor system health and performance.
Network Operations
7. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across multiple locations.
8. Maintain network documentation including diagrams and configuration records.
Security and Compliance
9. Assist with implementing system security policies and endpoint protection systems.
10. Monitor infrastructure systems for vulnerabilities and security alerts.
Project Implementation
11. Assist with infrastructure upgrades and system deployments.
12. Support integration of new technologies into the existing environment.
Conducts self in a manner as to always contribute to maximum individual growth and in accordance with all regulations, the Code of Ethics, and Company policies and procedures. Represents JM Murray and the JM Murray mission in a positive manner, treating people with respect and dignity.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms.
• Scripting or automation experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Must have flexibility to work hours outside of the regular schedule for monthly updates and other tasks that must be accomplished outside of company business hours.
• Occasional travel between JM Murray locations may be required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Job assignments may take place indoors and outdoors, in various environmental conditions including rain, snow, and cold weather.
