Responsibilities
- Use order picker, cherry picker, reach truck, forklift, and pallet jack equipment to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse
- Accurately pick items from inventory using barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems to ensure correct order fulfillment
- Pack products securely according to quality standards, preparing shipments for delivery while adhering to packaging protocols
- Conduct manual handling of materials and heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing stock locations, and performing regular stock counts to maintain accurate inventory records
- Support shipping and receiving operations by loading and unloading trucks efficiently while following safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to promote a safe working environment and streamline operations
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse operations or distribution centers
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management systems
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
- Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, safe load handling, and proper operation of heavy machinery
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking and packing processes
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality control throughout all stages of fulfillment
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and warehouse supervisors
