Construction Superintendent

JLV Construction is looking for an experienced Superintendent to lead luxury residential construction projects throughout the Greater New Orleans area.

Approximately 75% of our work is high-end residential, including custom homes, major renovations, historic restorations, and additions. The remaining 25% consists of select commercial projects.

Compensation

Base Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

In addition to your base salary, JLV provides a competitive compensation package that can increase your annual earnings by more than $15,000, including:

• $400/month Vehicle Allowance ($4,800 annually)
• $50/month Cell Phone Allowance ($600 annually)
• Gas Reimbursement (approximately $3,300 annually based on company reimbursement schedule)
• Performance Bonus: Earn up to 10% of your annual base salary, paid quarterly based on individual performance and company KPIs.

About the Superintendent Position

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily construction activities on the jobsite
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field crews
• Maintain project schedules and daily production
• Ensure work meets plans, specifications, code, and JLV quality standards
• Enforce jobsite safety and OSHA requirements
• Coordinate material deliveries, staging, and site logistics
• Conduct daily subcontractor huddles and communicate progress with the Project Manager
• Complete daily job logs, photos, and field updates
• Identify problems early and implement practical solutions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 5 years of Superintendent experience
• Has experience with custom homes or luxury residential construction
• Can confidently read blueprints
• Knows construction sequencing inside and out
• Leads subcontractors with professionalism and accountability
• Solves problems instead of waiting for someone else to fix them
• Is comfortable using technology for daily reporting
• Holds a valid driver's license
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Physical Requirements

The Superintendent position requires regular presence and activity on active construction sites. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand and walk on active jobsites for extended periods of time
• Walk over uneven surfaces, stairs, ladders, and partially completed structures
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach
• Lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Safely navigate construction areas while wearing required PPE
• Maintain sufficient vision, hearing, and mobility to identify and respond to jobsite hazards
