Construction Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our construction team and manage high-end residential projects from planning through completion.

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, according to scope, and at or above projected profitability, while maintaining JLV's standards for quality and client service.

This is a salaried position with significant responsibility for project execution, client communication, financial management, and coordination of the project team.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $70,000–$85,000/year

In addition to base salary, JLV Construction offers:

What You'll Do

Project Management

• Manage assigned residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Coordinate project activities with Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other team members.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, job logs, and reporting.

Client & Team Communication

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
• Conduct regular project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members.
• Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with all stakeholders.
• Resolve project issues proactively and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

Budget & Cost Control

• Track project budgets and financial performance.
• Manage the change order process from estimate through client approval.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and vendors.
• Issue and manage purchase orders.
• Forecast costs to complete and monitor remaining project balances.
• Prepare monthly billing for review and submission.

Leadership

• Set priorities and coordinate the project team around deadlines and company goals.
• Directly manage and develop team members, including Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Field Technicians.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
• Promote accountability, ownership, and strong performance.
  

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of progressive construction management experience, preferably involving high-end residential construction and/or complex commercial projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from planning through completion.
• Strong understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, procurement, change orders, and cost control.
• Experience working directly with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Ability to identify problems early and take action before they become larger project issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use project management and construction technology effectively.
• Experience with platforms such as Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or similar construction management software is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but relevant construction experience will also be considered.
