We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time Language Arts-Humanities Teacher to inspire and guide students through the rich worlds of literature, writing, and social studies. - Provide constructive feedback through copy editing, proofreading, and editing student work to enhance their writing skills
- Mentor students individually and in groups to improve literacy, research capabilities, and critical analysis
- Incorporate journalism techniques and creative writing exercises to foster expressive skills and media literacy
- Manage classroom environments effectively by applying classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
- Prepare students for standardized testing by designing practice assessments and instructional activities
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational administration initiatives
- Support diverse learners by integrating special education strategies, Montessori principles, or other specialized approaches as needed
- Prior experience teaching language arts or humanities at the high school or higher education level is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design
- Proven ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities including those requiring special education accommodations
- Experience with learning technology tools such as digital platforms for instruction, research databases, or library services
- Background in classroom management, behavior management, or private school environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with standardized testing preparation, tutoring techniques, and academic advising enhances your effectiveness as an educator
