This role will oversee the EHS program and operations across a portfolio and lead a compliance and training program. Based in Chicago, you will manage a small team across the US, serve as the primary EHS point of contact, and leverage your expertise and top-notch communication skills to liaise with the client's EHS executive team. The position requires monthly meetings at the client's downtown Chicago headquarters (near Union Station) and occasional site visits across North America (20% travel or less).
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for HSE requirements and activities for the account, communicating HSE needs and results to the Account Leadership Team
- Completing and maintaining Hazard/PPE Assessments for all account locations
- Creating and maintaining a regulatory compliance register for each account location
- Leading the continued development and refinement of JLL's HSE culture and training programs on the account
- Developing the account training matrix, managing and assigning online training requirements, and providing training presentations on specific topics applicable to account employees
- Ensuring accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other events are captured, data is managed and reported, and managing OSHA 301/300 recordkeeping requirements as the Account Administrator for JLL WorkSafe
- Participating with operating sites to lead or support investigations of HSE events, analyzing root causes, supporting and tracking implementation of corrective actions, and preparing communications to share lessons learned across account operations
- Assisting in assuring compliance with all HSE sections of the Operational Compliance Program (OCP)
- Supporting environmental compliance efforts as specified in the JLL/client Master Service Agreement (MSA)/Statement of Work (SOW)
Requirements:
- 10 years of ESH experience including supervisory experience
- Degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field
- Proven record of success with project management skills for balancing multi-site activities
- Previous experience managing a team of safety specialists
- Broad-based knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven record of making presentations and providing effective training
- Ability to effectively and cooperatively interface with peers, colleagues, and clients
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills with ability to employ intelligent flexibility
- Willingness to travel periodically to various operations sites to investigate events or problems, as well as attend various meetings (estimated 10% to 20% travel)
Salary : $130,000 - $145,000
