- Ensure all policies, procedures, work processes, safety guidelines, and programs are in compliance with Applicable Law, Company Policies and other pertinent codes and requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and participate in project development.
- Perform the role of “Engineering Technical lead” on projects as described in the appropriate company manuals, SOP’s and other documentation.
- Participate in project scope efforts to ensure optimal design work provided by others.
- Attend design reviews and scope identification meetings as required to ensure design meets company requirements and specifications.
- Work with various departments with company, outside institutions and contractors on new project design.
- Set and provide engineering criteria and requirements for system operation
- Perform capital justification and budget support.
- Review and approve design packages and specifications.
- Ensure company’s engineering project delivery is followed and commissioning and qualification is performed for Operational Acceptance Test/Functional Acceptance Tests (OAT/FAT), Startup Process, Sequence of Ops (SOO) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Support any IC/OC/PC or IQ/OQ/PQ activities requiring facility operations support.
- Check if the project meets code requirements, company requirements, and applicable law.
- Review and approve Turn Over Packages.
- Overseeing improvements to the operation and maintenance of facilities and building systems
- Act as the main point of contact and liaison for all building-related issues and projects
- Maintain documentation related to building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient operation and optimization of building systems
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors to address maintenance and repair needs
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements and upgrades for building systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet facility management goals and objectives
- Support reliability-centered maintenance activities
- Conduct Global Lifecycle Asset Management (GLAM) project assessments
- Assist/develop maintenance schedules & assist in site cold-shutdown PM action.
- Determine critical parts and working stock inventory requirements.
- Develop solutions to technical problems & drive the solution implementation.
- Ensure all process and instrumentation diagrams and system drawings are maintained and up to date.
- Develop solutions to technical problems.
- Conduct Root Cause Analyses and develop Corrective Actions and Preventative Actions.
- Develop “response flow charts” and failure mode analysis as necessary to support operations.
- Provide technician training where appropriate.
- Maintain certifications and licenses as dictated by Applicable Law.
- BA/BS in mechanical engineering, or other related engineering degrees.
- 4 years’ experience working in the mechanical engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience and knowledge of ASME, ASHRAE & NFPA requirements for compliance and system analysis.
- Direct experience with regulated environments (e.g. GMP, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- In-depth understanding of standards and practices developed by regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in engineering, design, operation, and/or maintenance of HVAC and industrial central utility systems, including purified water (RO/DI), steam, chilled water, and compressed gases.
- Knowledge of programming, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair of automation control systems is a plus.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and return mechanical systems back to efficient operation.
- Ability to perform field work and troubleshoot mechanical devices.
- Ability to train and coach operations teams to work with and operate mechanical systems.
- Ability to work with multiple teams consisting of operational staff, client stakeholders, project managers, external engineers and architects, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- EIT, PE or related certifications
Salary : $115,000 - $155,000
