What your day-to-day will look like:
- Complete preventative maintenance routines on robotic and automated systems with comprehensive documentation using CMMS systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and robotic components
- Maintain and troubleshoot robotic cells, AutoStore systems, and automated storage/retrieval equipment during 12-hour shifts
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and robotic programming documentation to diagnose system issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on automated conveyor systems, robotics, and integrated controls while following OEM guidelines
- Track department inventory for maintenance supplies and replacement parts to ensure operational readiness
- Support integration between mechanical, electrical, and software components to optimize system performance
- High school diploma or equivalent with strong technical aptitude
- 1 year experience with PC competency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and electrical schematics
- Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds and work in various positions including bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex system troubleshooting in automated environments
- Manual dexterity for precision work on robotic and automation components
- Understanding of safety protocols for automated equipment and industrial environments
- Associate degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Technology, or related technical field
- 2 years experience with automated conveyor systems and robotic controls maintenance
- Technical certifications in robotics, automation, or industrial maintenance (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Experience with AutoStore ASRS or similar automated storage and retrieval systems
- Knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation networks, and computerized maintenance management
- Understanding of lean maintenance practices, reliability-centered maintenance, and predictive maintenance technologies
- Project management experience for automation initiatives and system integration projects
