What your day-to-day looks like:
- Lead and develop engineering team - Directly manage site engineering and maintenance staff with daily direction, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development
- Oversee building systems operations - Manage daily operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life-safety systems while monitoring performance
- Coordinate maintenance activities - Plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance with appropriate frequencies to ensure system uptime and reliability
- Manage vendor and contractor oversight - Supervise contractors performing building systems work while ensuring safety, quality, and minimal operational disruption
- Enforce safety and compliance standards - Maintain safe work practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and address hazards or system deficiencies with proper documentation
- Support planning and continuous improvement - Partner with Facility Manager on maintenance planning, reliability-based practices, and operational improvements
- Manage resources and special projects - Oversee tools, spare parts, equipment inventories, and assist with system upgrades and capital engineering initiatives
- 7 years of experience in building engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
- Prior experience leading or supervising engineering or maintenance staff.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices.
- Experience coordinating contractors and managing maintenance work in an operational environment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Proficiency with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Associate’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
- HVAC certification, operating engineer license, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience supporting complex or multi-building campus environments.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
